Wedding Bliss
Now, I do not pretend to be a wedding expert and each couple does have their own ideas about how to celebrate their nuptials, but there are certain traditions that stand out, especially when they are not present. For instance, my cousin recently got married, at age 19, and they did not have a receiving line at the end of the ceremony, which by the way was all backward and screwy to begin with…not to mention much quicker than my ceremony, which was pretty quick by many standards.

Some of these inside the church photos are very dark, but again church lighting is bad for little point and shoot cameras with very small flashes…lets hope the photographer stays true to her word and emails the photo link to me so I can get some really good shots for the scrapbook I am making for Katie. Alas, she may not deserve it or even want it, but that’s my gift to her and she better like it…LOL

This is a nice one of the bride in all her glory, but I really like the detail on her dress which you cannot see in this photo. I will have to post that one next. Now every family has drama and mine is no different…Katie has a sister who was not in the wedding party (she actually has 2 sisters) but her full sister (not half sister) was asked to be the maid of honor and then promptly discarded when Katie resumed her friendship with the current maid of honor…now why you ask couldn’t her sister be in the wedding party as well…I have no answer for you and there may be another side to this story, but I really don’t care enough to find out I’m afraid. LOL the drama on this side of the family is nothing new and will probably last until they all die off…which is probably unlikely.
Here is the detailed photo of Katie’s dress…its very well beaded and intricate.
Very pretty indeed and Katie looked like a fairy tale princess…like all brides should at least once.
I think that all other members of the family should be banished from marriage
for at least 12 months…I’m tired of the travel and in my family you can’t not show
up to their weddings because they all came to yours…what a pain. LOL
Friends are also banished from marrying for 12 months as well since I am too
poor to continue traveling back and forth unless they feel like holding their nuptials down here in the D.C. area…i’m all for that…have the rest of the world travel here.
One last wedding phot for you all to view…its a great shot of my cousin, katie, her husband, marcus, and my grandparents. And yes, marcus will be heading to Iraq next month…good luck my man. If he’s anything like our friend Rob, he will love it there and make a repeat trip…who knows.
