Freedom…sort of…

Avt_pavcrawphan_largeHello once again.

As some of you may know, I have had a broken arm for some time that was casted and uncasted, blasted with xrays, shoved into an MRI tube, and now is blissfully on its way to full recovery.  I get to wear a flashy black canvas wrist brace for the next week, which I can take off for showers and for when I perform those o-so-death-defying wrist exercises to limber up those muscles.

I am feeling much better about myself at the moment, but that could change…you never know.  I think the whole broken arm saga and being unable to write or create for a long period of time had me down in the dumps, but alas the journey has nearly ended.

In other news, Mandy and Joe had their first baby on Monday at 12:30pm.  It was a baby girl named Ashton and she weighed 7lbs and some ounces, and was about 21 inches long.  I can’t wait to see photos of the little angel…well I’m sure she’ll be as stubborn as Mandy later on, but we all still loved her anyways.

Until next time….

The New Year

Wednesday, January 11th, 2006

It came quietly while I did routine things like clean the house and make dinner and go to the movies.  By the time my husband and I returned from the movies, the ball was dropping in times square on my television and I listened as Regis lost count and rang in the new year before reaching one on his countdown.

Now that the new year is hear, I have given serious thought to what I want to accomplish, and foremost on my list has been getting into a master’s program, which is why I bought a GRE prep book.  So, wish me luck on that.  I suppose the next goal will be to get into a program and then afford it.  LOL We’ll see how well that goes.

Next on the list is learning to drive, yes you heard it here first.  I am a 28 year old non-driver who used to tell herself it was for environmental reasons that I didn’t drive, but the actuality is that I HATE it and am terrified of these drivers who appear to have no care in the world for themselves or their fellow man.
