Characterization

So the snow fell yesterday and the news kept taking about 8 inches of the stuff hitting the streets, but alas I wake up this morning and it is maybe 1 inch of snow, if that.

Last night was beautiful and the snow was textbook–the crystals were so perfect and each one was individualized with different shapes and textures.  Some of the ones falling on my coat at the bus station even looked like the ones we cut out of paper in school.  It was simply beautiful and amazing.

That lifted my spirits for the evening, given the sucky day at work and the lack of holiday party for me this year.  I’m good to go now, because I have my own party to plan….thank goodness!

So I take the night off from my second job to attend this holiday party for my first job, and to get a night off from a store that has 3 workers and is open a gazillion hours is insane.  All relieved that I will have some holiday cheer and then a night at home cleaning (for my upcoming holiday bash), I get the word that the party is postponed until tomorrow (tues) which is the one night I definitely can’t take off so that means no holiday cheer for me and I could have had thurs. off instead, which is my normal day off, and not screwed around with my schedule!  UGH!

Anyway, I am without holiday cheer!
