Turkey Day Angst
Monday, November 28th, 2005Goodness gracious. Turkey Day, already!
I couldn’t believe it. We hastily planned dinner with Anna and Jerry and their daughter after discovering I would be working friday and saturday at the camera store since the manager would be off galavanting in Ohio with the family. That left me stuck with a sometimes tough to take coworker for really long shifts….11 hours on friday and 9 hours on saturday…both opening and closing the store with this dude. can you say i need a vacation!
Ah but dinner was good, though it was pre-cooked…thanks to annie for thinking about the easiest way to make a dinner. LOL i made squash, since the meal purchased did not come with them and chris made more mashed potatoes since the meal came with lumpy ones and I just love smooth mashed potatoes. :) the pie was good and so was the ice cream, though there was a slight mishap with some oatmeal carmel cookie bars…they were hard as rocks and gooey beyond imagination. They were good, but limit one per visit i think. LOL should have read the directions more thoroughly…though I am not totally at fault…ANNIE!
other than that…the weekend went too quick…but what else is new these days. I’m just waiting for christmas….and my week off to head up to Mass. and good ol’ snow country!
